Freight train Klaipeda-Chornomorsk will be launched before the end of the year
The first trip of the freight train on the route Klaipeda-Chornomorsk will take place before the end of the year.
During the Rail EXPO exhibition, LTG Cargo Ukraine presented a project for the transportation of goods by semi-trailers along the route Klaipeda (Lithuania) – Chernomorsk.
“It is expected that the first trip of a freight train with semi-trailers on the route Klaipeda-Chornomorsk will take place this year,” the message says.
The company representatives also announced the launch of an existing freight train with semi-trailers on the Kaunas-Tilburg (Netherlands) route.
As a reminder, the issue of transporting semi-trailers on the Klaipeda-Chornomorsk route was raised during the meeting of LTG CEO Mantas Bartushko with the head of Ukrzaliznytsia Alexander Kamyshin, informs Railway Supply magazine.
As previously reported, Ukraine and Lithuania agreed to develop a single rail route between the Black Sea and Baltic regions.
