On February 16, during an online meeting with representatives of the agricultural business, it was reported that within 15 days of February, the volume of grain loading on the railway network of Ukrzaliznytsia amounted to 1.5 million tons. This was reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Rail.insider.

According to operational data, since the beginning of February 2023, the volumes of grain cargo loading amounted to 1 million 509 thousand tons. This is 29% of the total loading (5 million 205.5 thousand tons). The average daily loading volumes for this period amounted to 101 thousand tons. The maximum figure reached 131 thousand tons on Tuesday, February 14, the minimum – 64 tons – was recorded on Sunday, February 12.

Over the same period last year, the average daily load reached 120 thousand tons. In addition, in February, the rate of transfer of wagons with grain cargo through railway crossings increased by 48 cars – from 605 to 653 units per day.

As previously reported, rail freight volumes in January were 57% lower than last year.
