Discover Australian Luxury Train Tours with Vintage Rail
23.04.2025
Journey Beyond has launched a new season of Australian luxury train tours, starting with the 2025 Riverina Rail Tour under its newly acquired Vintage Rail Journeys brand. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

This five-day scenic rail adventure departs from Sydney and travels deep into the Riverina, Australia’s renowned “food bowl.” Guests are welcomed aboard with sparkling wine, gourmet canapés, and vibrant live music before the train rolls out from Central Station on Easter Monday, April 21.

Executive General Manager of Rail, David Donald, described the experience as a unique combination of comfort, cuisine, and culture. Travelers enjoy daylight travel and an all-inclusive package with meals and drinks crafted from local ingredients by onboard chefs.
Curated excursions are central to the experience. Stops include towns like Bowral, Junee, and Griffith, where guests meet producers and explore historic sites. In Bowral, they can visit either the Retford Park National Trust or the whimsical Fairground Follies mechanical music museum.
At Coolamon, guests tour an artisan cheese factory followed by a gourmet lunch. Further into the journey, travelers meet local winemakers and farmers to understand the region’s challenges and innovations. A stop at Mt Victoria offers an exciting ride on the Zig Zag Railway.
Why Australian Luxury Train Tours Offer More Than Scenery?
Vintage Rail Journeys deliver more than panoramic views. These rail tours immerse travelers in local stories, regional cuisine, and cultural experiences, all while enjoying the nostalgia of vintage-style travel.
The 2025 Riverina Rail Tour is already sold out. However, departures remain for the North Coast Rail Tour, which explores the Hastings River, hinterland rainforests, and untouched beaches along the Macleay Valley Coast.
What to Expect from Australian Luxury Train Tours?
The package includes four nights aboard the train, covering destinations such as Orange and the Blue Mountains. Guests receive four breakfasts, five lunches, and four dinners, all part of the all-inclusive fare.
Journey Beyond continues to elevate Australian luxury train tours, combining indulgence with discovery in a seamless travel experience that supports local communities and tourism.
