In August-November of this year, DB Engineering & Consulting conducted 7 energy audits of production units of Ukrzaliznytsia.

The events were carried out as part of the development of the company energy efficiency strategy, reports the railway magazine Railway Supply, citing the press service of UZ.

Based on the results of the work, DB will provide UZ with recommendations for conducting energy audits in all divisions of the company. This will allow the Carrier to reduce operating costs, improve the quality and reliability of railway transport services and reduce its impact on the environment.

The project is scheduled to be completed in February 2023.

Localization is on the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the current session week

Also, in the first quarter of 2022, UZ will receive tools for analyzing the consumption of material and technical resources and expert recommendations on management decisions for financing energy efficiency measures.

In addition, DB will develop an energy efficiency investment plan for Ukrzaliznytsia in accordance with the commitments within the framework of cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the project of electrification of the Dolinskaya – Nikolaev – Kolosovka railway line.

Ukrzaliznytsia will also be provided with a roadmap for obtaining ISO 50001 certification and training employees. We would like to remind that DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH was appointed as a consultant of UZ in the field of energy efficiency.

However, experts consider the agreement with Deutsche Bahn Engineering & Consulting illegal.
