Czech ČD unveiled the dining car of the push-pull ComfortJet train from Siemens Mobility and Skoda Group, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Currently, the rolling stock is undergoing tests in the climatic chamber of the Rail Tec Arsenal institute in Vienna, covering temperatures from -20°C to +40°C.

A tender has been announced for the supply of 10 mainline direct current electric locomotives

Simultaneously, six other train cars are being tested at the VUZ test track in Velim, Czech Republic.

In 2021, the national carrier ordered 180 Viaggio Comfort passenger cars from the Siemens Mobility and Skoda Group consortium, forming 20 nine-car trains.

Each set will be pulled by the multisystem electric locomotive Vectron MS, designed for a maximum speed of 230 km/h.

The car bodies are manufactured at Siemens Mobility plants in Vienna and Munich, with final assembly taking place at the Skoda Group plant in Ostrava.

The introduction of the rolling stock is planned between 2024 and 2026.
