After a series of repairs, CFR Infrastructura has resumed the railway line from Valea Visheului (Romania) to the border with Ukraine. It is reported by Railway Supplly with reference to Rail.insider.

According to the Romanian infrastructure operator, about 1,400 sleepers have been replaced on the line and 400 tons of crushed stone have been dumped. Currently, repairs are ongoing on the line between Teresva (Ukraine) and Sziget Marmarossky (Romania). It is not yet known when train traffic will resume.

Communication on these railway lines were discontinued in the mid-2000s.

Earlier, UZ restored two sections adjacent to those indicated on the border with Romania.
