President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, may contribute to the resumption of navigation from the ports in the Mykolaiv region, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
This opinion was expressed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, at a press conference following the “Ukraine. The Year 2024” forum.

“I believe that President Erdoğan can help us open the sea of the Mykolaiv region. I know that Turkey has discussed with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres the possibility of free navigation in the Black Sea. We are ready for such a conversation. We believe that this issue can be resolved at the first inaugural summit,” said Volodymyr Zelensky.
At the same time, he noted that Ukraine is not currently seeking an alternative to the already functioning grain corridor, although it would welcome its expansion.
As reported earlier, Turkish business may join the restoration of Ukraine’s transport infrastructure.
In addition, Turkey has not evacuated its ships from the ports of Mykolaiv.
