Bulgarian Bulmarket – United Railways buys two TransMontana locomotives

Bulgarian Bulmarket – United Railways becomes Softronic’s 9th customer and purchases two TransMontana locomotives to be delivered in 2022.
Transport company Bulmarket (Bulgaria) has signed a contract with Softronic for two TransMontana locomotives. These are the first locomotives produced by Softronic for the Bulgarian market, reports Railway Supply magazine with reference to Softronic.
They will be operated in Romania by Bulmarket’s subsidiary United Railways.
Bulmarket – United Railways, which will operate two locomotives in Romania, owns a 65% majority stake in Bulgaria and 35% in Romania.
Bulmarket was founded in 1996 and received a license for rail freight transport in Bulgaria in 2005, becoming the first private freight company in Bulgaria. Bulmarket’s core business is the production and marketing of petroleum products and alternative fuels such as biofuels and liquefied gas.
