Belgian national rail operator SNCB has sold the remaining 10% in Lineas to SFPI-FPIM (The Federal Holding and Investment Company), reports railway magazine Railway Supply, referring to official information from Lineas.

At the same time, the company informs about attracting financing in the amount of 60 million euros to overcome the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. Half of the funds will be provided by the banking consortium Belfius and BNP Paribas Group, the other half – by shareholders of Argos Wityu and SFPI / FPIM.
Lineas is one of the largest private freight carriers in Europe. The company owns a fleet of 250 locomotives and 7000 wagons, which serve the Green Xpress intermodal transport network.
In turn, SNCB plans to focus on its core passenger activities.
