Amtrak has invested millions in infrastructure improvements, including a heated outdoor platform at Rugby’s depot. Devils Lake and Fargo stations are also receiving upgrades to enhance passenger experiences.

Local businesses benefit from increased rail travel, with hotels and restaurants seeing more visitors. The Borealis route between St. Paul and Chicago exceeded initial projections, attracting thousands of new riders.

Amtrak continues to explore service expansions, including restoring the North Coast Hiawatha line. These efforts aim to provide more reliable, comfortable, and efficient travel options across the region.
