Amtrak and Crayola Offer Colorful Summer Travel for Kids

Amtrak and Crayola are teaming up this summer to inspire families with kids through free train rides, creative attractions, and crayon-themed locomotives designed to spark imagination. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Amtrak and Crayola Bring Creativity to Kids’ Travel
Families traveling to Orlando can save on summer trips with Amtrak by booking free Coach or First Class tickets for kids on the Auto Train now through August 31, 2025. The offer applies to travel between Lorton, VA, and Sanford, FL. To qualify, travelers must book at least three days in advance through the Amtrak app or at Amtrak.com. Standard terms and conditions apply.
With every Amtrak child ticket, kids enjoy free entry to Crayola Experience locations in Easton, Mall of America, Orlando, and Plano.

These immersive, hands-on destinations encourage children to play, explore, and create. This offer is valid from May 8 to August 31, with free entry permitted through September 30. Guests must show proof of a valid child ticket at check-in.
Special Summer Offers for Kids Riding Amtrak Trains
The Amtrak and Crayola collaboration goes beyond savings. Two ACS-64 Sprinter locomotives now showcase colorful crayon-inspired designs that celebrate creativity in motion. These trains travel along the Northeast Corridor from Washington, D.C., to Boston, turning heads with their vibrant presence.
One engine features Violet Blue along with eight recently “unretired” crayon shades from Crayola’s archive. The second locomotive appears in Dandelion yellow and introduces “Dan D,” the cheerful crayon character representing imagination and joy.
Both trains display the message “Creativity on the Go!”—a visual celebration of the partnership that encourages children and families to express themselves throughout their travel experience.
