The cars will be manufactured and tested at Alstom’s facility in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. The delivery will enable simultaneous operation of eight four-car trains.

Alstom Supports Passenger Growth in Denver

The Innovia APM R cars are made using recyclable materials, meeting environmental sustainability standards. Their lightweight design minimizes load on the transit infrastructure.

Denver International Airport ranks third in the U.S. and sixth globally by passenger traffic. In 2024, it handled 82.3 million passengers, with forecasts reaching 100 million annually by 2030.

Alstom Extends Maintenance Contract Until 2032

Since July 2024, the airport has operated new Innovia APM 300R trains. In November, Alstom extended its operations and maintenance contract through December 31, 2032.

Since the airport’s opening in 1994, Alstom has managed the automated transit system and continues to modernize it to meet increasing mobility demands.
