The Czech Railway Infrastructure Manager SZ, has announced the seventh tender for the construction of its HSR network, which includes the design of the Poržičany – Svetla nad Sazavou railway section, which is part of the Prague – Brno high speed railway.

This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Railway Pro.

The contract is valued at CZK 500 million (EUR 19.67 million). It is expected that the project of the 70-kilometer section of the high-speed railroad will be presented in 2025, and construction will begin in two years.

The line will be designed only for passenger transport with a maximum speed of 320 km/h. Trains on this section are expected to enter service in 2031.
