DB Cargo Italia has ordered rolling stock from CZ LOKO, with a contract for four new EffiShunter 1000 diesel-electric locomotives, according to the Railway Supply journal, citing CZ LOKO.

The first two locomotives will be delivered this summer, while the remaining two will arrive by the end of the year.

The EffiShunter 1000 locomotives will be used on non-electrified lines and industrial railway tracks to improve the reliability of DB Cargo in cargo transportation.

DB Cargo Italia, one of the European leaders in rail freight transport, has become the next company to select the EffiShunter 1000 locomotives from CZ LOKO.
