East Coast Railway Issues Widespread Cancellations

Train services that were to run on October 27, 28, and 29 will remain canceled, officials said. The cancellation applies to trains that originate from, or pass through, coastal regions in Andhra, where strong winds and rain are anticipated.

Cancellations include several key routes: Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express (18515) and its return service (18516), Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Passenger (58501/58502), and Visakhapatnam–Koraput Passenger (58538) and Express (18512). The East Coast Railway also suspended Rajahmundry–Visakhapatnam MEMU (67285) and its pairing train, Visakhapatnam–Kakinada Port Express (17268), and Visakhapatnam–Tirupati (08583) services.

The government asked people to remain indoors and heed all safety alerts until circumstances ease. The government asserted that everything is only temporary and will cease once the danger from the cyclone has passed.
