To ensure smooth operation, charging stations will be installed at various locations, allowing quick energy replenishment. Additionally, infrastructure upgrades will increase the axle load capacity on the tracks.

The manufacturer states that the Mireo Plus B trains can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h. Their battery range extends up to 80 kilometers without recharging, making them ideal for regional transport.

Each two-car train accommodates 120 passengers, offering a comfortable travel experience. The interior design meets modern safety and convenience standards.

Denmark Renews Its Fleet by Replacing Diesel Models

In 2022, Midtjyske Jernbaner ordered seven of these trains, planning a complete transition from outdated diesel models. They will replace the Lynette (Type Y) trains, manufactured by Duewag and Scandia.

All new trainsets are expected to enter service by the end of this year. This contract remains the only export order for the battery-powered Mireo models so far.
