Stadler has completed the delivery of its first FLIRT electric train in Switzerland under the largest contract signed last summer, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The single-deck, four-car train, transported from Bussnang to Erlen, will undergo testing on the public rail network in February.

The validation of Hyperloop technology

The €1.8 billion contract involves supplying 286 FLIRT trains, with the option to expand to 224 units.

The commencement of operations for the rolling stock destined for SBB, Thurbo, and RegionAlps is scheduled for 2026.

Three-car models accommodate 256 passengers, while four-car models accommodate 370, ensuring comfort and efficiency in national passenger transport.
