CPKC holiday train returns to light up Monroe County in 2025
19.10.2025
The CPKC holiday train will illuminate Monroe County in November with thousand of lights, live shows, and local events that celebrate the seasons and bring families together across North America.
This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

CPKC holiday train schedule and key stops
The elaborately decorated train will leave Windsor, Ontario, on the 22nd of November and travel through Southeast Michigan. It is going to travel through Detroit, Detroit, Melvindale, Allen Park, Taylor, Romulus, Milan, Britton, Adrian, and Sand Creek before going to Franklin Park, Illinois.

Since CPKC has made no word about specific times of stopping at Michigan, tourists must plan ahead of time and remain current through official means. And because the train’s path covers the entire Canada as well as the U.S., fans in several areas will have a chance to attend the event.
The CPKC holiday train, prior to entering Michigan, pulls in Chatham, Ontario, where there is a free concert by Smash Mouth and JJ Wilde. In Windsor, another free show runs between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. prior to the train heading west towards Chicago, where the next show runs at 5:30 pm CST, November 23.
CPKC holiday train concerts and community spirit
Every stop has a holiday concert that raises money for local food banks and encourages communal celebration. The crowds can enjoy popular entertainers, seasonal music, and kids’ entertainment while doing something good for the world.
Safety is a prime concern during the event. Visitors are advised to stay at least 50 feet away from the tracks, wear warm clothes, and be prepared for potential time changes. Since the train passes through numerous towns in a span of an evening, viewing times vary based on needs of operations.
The CPKC holiday train embodies unity, kindness, and cheer, joining smaller towns and major cities beyond borders. And over the years, over twenty years, it has evolved as a hallmark holiday tradition among families and rail enthusiasts.
