The California Transportation Agency, CalSTA, has entered into a contract with Stadler to supply four FLIRT H2 hydrogen trains for the passenger carrier Caltrain, this is reported by the railway transport news portal, Railway Supply.

Contract for the delivery of four FLIRT H2 hydrogen trains

The $80 million contract was signed as part of the memorandum signed earlier at the InnoTrans 2022 exhibition and includes an option for an additional 25 units.

The first FLIRT H2, ordered by the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority, has been undergoing testing in Pueblo, USA, since September.
