The innovative technology for manufacturing switch crossings, crossings, arch plates, and entire tram junctions has been recognized at the Inż.Józef Nowkuński competition during TRAKO 2023, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

CONTRACK technology

The booth by KZN Bieżanów Group, which showcased a modular tram turnout, attracted crowds of interested individuals, as reported by RK.

Representatives of KZN Bieżanów Group received the statuette for developing the comprehensive pre-fabrication technology of the CONTRACK tramway structure.

Autonomous Electromagnetic Rail Car Platform

This innovative product combines three main surface elements: steel tramway surface, modular reinforced concrete plates with rail sleepers, and polyurethane material for continuous, elastic rail fastening.

The novelty significantly reduces the installation time of complex tramway structures, with the most labor-intensive manufacturing part moved to the factory, allowing assembly even on weekends (within 72 hours).

CONTRACK technology

The competition’s jury also appreciated the potential cost reduction in construction or maintenance of tramway surfaces – road authorities can significantly reduce disruptive closures, the need for alternative transportation, and avoid endless traffic jams.

CONTRACK also demonstrates product quality, better control of the life cycle cost (LCC), and the ability to replace the steel part of the rail system without dismantling the concrete layer.
