CN Rail says crews are still working at the site after a train derails in Winnipeg near Winnipeg Transit’s Jubilee Station. In an email statement, the company said the derailment occurred at approximately 3 a.m. local time.

10 rail cars derailed Winnipeg

The railway reported that 10 rail cars derailed — eight tipped over, while two remained upright, according to the Winnipeg Free Press. CN crews and local first responders remained on scene through Sunday.

No injuries, fires, leaks or dangerous goods

CN said there were no reports of injuries, fires, leaks or dangerous goods, adding that the public is not at risk. “CN would like to apologize for the inconveniences caused by this incident,” a spokesperson wrote. The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
