The agreement includes the delivery of up to 504 vehicles and maintenance services for 32 years.

Six transport companies in Germany and Austria have already placed orders for 246 vehicles.

CITYLINK is an innovative modular barrier-free vehicle created to connect cities and surrounding regions without the need to transfer to suburban trains.

All vehicles in this series are based on a single structural platform.

For Saarland, Stadler is building three-section vehicles with a track gauge of 1435 mm, a length of 37.2 meters, a width of 2.65 meters, and a height of 3.9 meters.

The vehicles are equipped with two driver’s cabs and operate on electric networks with voltages of 750 V DC and 15 kV AC.

The tram’s interior accommodates 100 seated passengers, including foldable seats, and can hold 133 standing passengers at a density of 4 people per square meter.

Each side of the vehicle is equipped with four doors for easy entry and exit, and the floor height in the entrance area ranges from 350 to 380 mm.

The maximum axle load is 11.2 tons. The vehicles are powered by six traction motors with an output of 125 kW each, allowing speeds of up to 100 km/h.

The minimum turning radius is 22 meters. CITYLINK reflects modern requirements for efficient and comfortable urban transport, combining the benefits of trams and trains.
