China opens new high-speed railway line

China unveiled the Shenyang–Baihe high-speed railway, and the initiative became a strategic step as it solidifies transport infrastructure and boosts northeast attractiveness to tourists and investors alike.

The new high-speed line is 430 kilometers long and serves ten stations. The trains travel at a top speed of 350 kilometers an hour, so travel from Beijing to Changbaishan National Park only takes 4 hours 33 minutes compared to nearly ninety minutes faster when it is done previously.

Construction began in July 2021 and progressed against difficult geological conditions. Engineers persevered against très bas temps d’hiver and produced magnificent output. The line comprises 85 tunnels, 179 bridges, and 36 animal crossings, exemplifying sophisticated engineering techniques.
