On March 25, the checkpoint “Serpneve-1” for railway traffic on the Basarabeasca-Berezino section will begin its work. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Rail.insider. Earlier, the decision to open this checkpoint was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to the information provided, the act of readiness of the joint checkpoint was signed by representatives of the border and customs services of Moldova and Ukraine on Wednesday, March 22. It is noted that the checkpoint for trains is ready for joint control. Procedures will begin at 00:00 on March 25, 2023.

Recall that regular traffic through the Berezine-Basarabeasca crossing was planned to be opened after March 13. Subsequently, the possibility of starting freight traffic on March 16 was considered, but the launch was again delayed.
