Beenleigh and Gold Coast Line Track Closures Affect July Services
14.07.2026
Beenleigh and Gold Coast line track closures will affect services from Monday 13 July to Friday 17 July. Passengers are advised to check the journey planner before travelling, consider alternative transport and allow extra time for their trip.

The lines will remain affected by the extended June and July track closures until Sunday 19 July.
Train service changes during the closures
Airport line trains will operate between Domestic Airport and Cannon Hill. Beenleigh and Gold Coast line services will run as a combined all-stations service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon.
The affected stations are Banoon, Coopers Plains, Salisbury, Rocklea, Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield, Dutton Park and Boggo Road.
Cleveland line services will connect with the Airport line from 6:20am to 10am and again from 2pm to 6pm. During these periods, Cleveland line trains will depart three minutes earlier between the city and Boggo Road.

Doomben line trains will run between Doomben and Roma Street. Ferny Grove line services will operate between Ferny Grove and Boggo Road, while Shorncliffe line trains will run between Shorncliffe and Roma Street.
Passengers may need to transfer at a different station than usual to complete their journey, so travel arrangements should be checked closer to departure.
Rail replacement buses and project works
Timetabled rail replacement buses will operate from designated stops near affected stations. Travel times may be longer because these services are subject to road and traffic conditions.
The R582 will run express between Banoon and Boggo Road via Griffith University. The R583 will provide an express service between Banoon and Eagle Junction, while the R586 will operate between Fruitgrove and Brisbane City via Griffith University.
The R591 will serve all stations between Banoon and Boggo Road except Rocklea. StationLink route 19 will also operate every 15 minutes between Salisbury and PA Hospital.
Passengers must have a valid ticket, and normal fares will apply. Bikes and e-scooters are not permitted on railbuses.
The closures will allow work on the Cross River Rail project, the European Train Control System project, the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project, the Loganlea Station Relocation project and general track maintenance.

What is known about services?
The weekday changes form part of a wider programme of Beenleigh and Gold Coast line closures running from 27 June to 19 July 2026. During the 13–17 July closure, the combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon will stop at all stations, with no express trains operating. Express and all-stations railbuses will connect Banoon and Boggo Road, while passengers travelling to or from the city may also consider regular bus services when planning their journey.
