Previously, Azerbaijan Railways introduced a demand-driven digital training system. Departments submit annual training requests, which the HR department reviews and incorporates into an optimized development strategy.
Strategic Goals for Azerbaijan Railways’ Digitalization
ADY’s training approach allocates 90% of resources to planned sessions, while 10% address unforeseen requirements. This adaptability ensures employees gain relevant IT skills efficiently.
The organization prioritizes three key methods for workforce development. It recruits external IT specialists, offers structured training programs, and hires young professionals from universities and vocational schools.
The ADB grant supports ADY’s broader digital transformation efforts, approved on September 30, 2024. The funding will enhance system integration, modernize processes, and improve employee training.
A critical objective of this initiative is reducing the gender gap in digital competencies. Enhanced training programs will ensure equal career opportunities within railway operations.
Through expert guidance, structured IT training, and integrated data management, ADY moves closer to full digitalization and long-term operational efficiency.
