Australia’s anti-dumping duties: the 36.9% provisional rate

As outlined in Anti-Dumping Notice No. 2025/128 (Preliminary Affirmative Determinations Report), the Commission has moved to collect provisional anti-dumping duties as deposits starting from December 22, 2025. The duty rate is set at 36.9% and applies in the same way to non-cooperating producers and to all producers covered by the investigation into Chinese freight rail wheels.

Countervailing determination remains under review

At the same time, the Commission said the evidence available so far is not sufficient to support a preliminary affirmative countervailing determination on the involved Chinese products. The countervailing strand of the case therefore continues as part of the wider investigation.

The Australian anti-dumping duties apply to products classified under Australian HS code 8607.19.00.20, covering the rail wheels for freight referenced in the notice.
