Arriva Group, a subsidiary of the German national railway DB, has completed the sale of its transport businesses in Denmark and Serbia to the international investment holding Mutares SE&Co. KGaA, according to the railway portal Railway Supply.

This agreement is part of Arriva Group’s strategy to focus on key markets in the United Kingdom and Europe.

The sale agreement, signed in September 2022, includes bus, rail, and ferry transport as well as car-sharing services in Denmark.

The agreement also includes bus transport in Poland, the agreement for which is planned to be concluded by the end of June 2023. However, Arriva Group will continue to operate railway services in Poland.

In 2022, Arriva sold its bus business in Sweden to the state-owned railway company VR Group from Finland and in Portugal to the Israeli group of companies Dan.
