What Ardmore Station improvements added?

The rebuilt station reflects a significant investment in regional rail infrastructure. Also, it expands accessibility for passengers. It adds elevators, ramps, and high-level platforms. In addition, these features improve access and modernize the station for travelers.

“Projects like Ardmore underscore what can be achieved when agencies work together with a shared commitment to putting customers first,” said Amtrak Assistant Vice President of Infrastructure Access & Investment Tom Moritz. “Amtrak is proud to continue serving the Ardmore community alongside SEPTA, and we look forward to welcoming customers to this renewed and expanded station aboard the Keystone Service.”

Amtrak, SEPTA and Keystone Service at Ardmore

Ardmore Station serves both SEPTA Regional Rail and Amtrak Keystone Service. Meanwhile, that route is financed primarily through funds made available by PennDOT. Amtrak worked closely with SEPTA during construction. This supported continued intercity rail service. The modernized station also improves the travel experience for Amtrak and SEPTA customers. In addition, it improves safety, accessibility, and operational efficiency along the shared corridor.

Separately, Amtrak thanked SEPTA for the ongoing partnership. It also congratulated the agency, its workforce, and partners on the project’s completion. The company said the work will benefit travelers and the Ardmore community. It said the benefits will last for decades to come.
