Focus 2050 and the MBTA 2050 investment plan
Focus 2050 will be the agency’s latest update to the state-required Program for Mass Transportation. MBTA officials said the plan is meant to prepare the system for growth and climate impacts. It is also meant to reflect changing travel patterns and align strategic goals with the capital investment plan.

How riders and stakeholders can provide input?
The agency is seeking feedback from advocacy organizations, municipalities and community groups. It is also asking what they need from the MBTA over the next 24 years. Meanwhile, comments can be submitted through virtual and in-person meetings or by email. Also, the MBTA is collecting input at outreach tables at MBTA stations. Information on where to participate is available on the MBTA project website.
