Tickets are now available for select Empire Service and Maple Leaf trains. According to Amtrak’s official announcement, the trains will call at the fair between Rochester and Syracuse.

How the temporary NYF stop works?

Passengers booking online must select “NYF” as their destination. Tickets to the fairgrounds stop are available only for dates when the fair is open.

Amtrak identifies New York State Fair station as a special temporary stop at 581 State Fair Boulevard in Syracuse. The station has a platform with a shelter and an accessible boarding platform.

The stop places passengers within walking distance of the fairgrounds, avoiding the need to find parking or drive through event traffic.
