It is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Alstom

One of these days, operational tests of a train with passengers in the states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg begin, and in general, the use of Talent 3 in Germany is planned on non-electrified lines.

The train has been developed since 2016 together with the country technology centers, and the German Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure has allocated €4 million for the project.

In 2017, Bombardier estimated the cost of one three-car train at €6-7 million.

The manufacturer notes that the MITRAC lithium-ion battery is ready for ultra-fast charging (previously it was reported that it takes 7-10 minutes), its service life with daily use is up to 10 years, and the power reserve is up to 100 km. The Talent 3 has a top speed of 140 km/h and a maximum acceleration of 1.1 m/s2.
