How the SEPTA free World Cup rides will work?

Airbnb is funding the arrangement. After each game, passengers boarding at NRG Station will ride free. Those games will be played at Lincoln Financial Field.

The free service will begin at halftime and continue for two hours after full time. Still, fans will need to buy tickets to the matches. The regular fare for the ride is $2.90.

In comments reported by Billy Penn, SEPTA General Manager Scott Sauer said:

“SEPTA is proud to partner with Airbnb and Philadelphia Soccer 2026 to provide free, convenient transit for fans leaving FIFA World Cup matches in Philadelphia. The B Line is the best way to get to and from the Sports Complex, and their generous support will help us deliver a safe, reliable, and efficient trip home for visitors and residents alike.”

Daniel Hilferty, co-chair of the local host committee Philadelphia Soccer 2026, said:

“Accessibility has been a central priority for Philadelphia Soccer 2026 since our bid, and we are grateful to Airbnb for sharing our fan-centered vision for FIFA World Cup in Philadelphia.”

Philadelphia World Cup transit compared with other host areas

That differs from the setup in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and Foxborough, Massachusetts. NJ Transit plans to charge $150 for round-trip service to the stadium in East Rutherford. That was reported by Trains.com on April 17, 2026. In the Boston area, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority had previously announced an $80 fare. That was detailed in an April 6 Trains.com report.

Philadelphia’s schedule includes group-stage matches on June 14, 19, 22, 25, and 27. It also includes a round-of-16 game on July 4.
