Stadler and Alpha Trains have entered into a long-term agreement for the technical maintenance of EURO9000 locomotives, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Under this contract, Stadler undertakes to provide maintenance and repair services for EURO9000 hybrid locomotives for a minimum of 10 years.

Alpha Trains, a leasing company, ordered 12 such locomotives from Stadler in October 2023, with plans for delivery in 2025–2026.

The six-axle locomotives, with a power output of 9 MW, are designed to operate on various electrified and non-electrified sections of European railways.

Each of them is equipped with two diesel engines with a power output of 950 kW, providing the ability to operate on non-electrified sections.

This agreement underscores the importance of reliable technical maintenance to ensure the uninterrupted operation of locomotives and the overall efficiency of the transportation system.
