AECOM Role in Project Development

AECOM and its partner will support feasibility studies, design, and implementation, ensuring smooth execution. Because of this, the project will enhance mobility and strengthen economic ties between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

AECOM has an established record in major Hong Kong transport projects. It played a key role in the Kowloon West hub and the Shatin to Central Link (SCL), which added 17 kilometers of metro lines, eight stations, and upgraded three interchange hubs.

AECOM Expertise and Digital Innovation

The project relies on advanced digital solutions, including BIM for 3D modeling and integrated data platforms. These tools will streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve accuracy during construction.

By leading consultancy efforts, AECOM demonstrates its commitment to sustainable transportation. The Western Rail Link will become a crucial part of the Greater Bay Area’s network, offering faster connections and driving regional growth.

When complete, this cross-border railway will redefine travel efficiency and support economic collaboration, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a strategic gateway to mainland China.
