Adelaide Metro Enhances Access and Connectivity

All trains, trams, and buses run from 6am and finish at 2pm, allowing easy travel for and from the parade for all passengers. Since the parade has attracted many visitors, Adelaide Metro has decided that additional run services and temporary tram replacement on the Glenelg line are required due to high demand.

Also, families are encouraged to arrive early and get a spot behind the Blue Honour Line before Father Christmas comes. Moreover, Adelaide Metro, along with local authorities, coordinated road closures and routes, ensuring that there is minimisation of disruptions while maintaining public safety.

Some bus stops will be temporarily closed in the city’s central business district, but new routes will take people close to the pageant site. Tram services will be suspended on King William Street and North Terrace during morning peak, but services will run as normal between the Entertainment Centre and Adelaide Railway Station.

Adelaide Metro Encourages Sustainable Travel Choices

Adelaide Metro spokesperson Michelle Spagnoletti reported that Adelaide Metro is proud to be contributing towards families being able to participate in this iconic SA tradition.

“Leave your car at home and travel on us for free,” she said. “We’ll have additional services throughout the day, so get on board early, avoid traffic congestion, and celebrate.”

This initiative not only supports accessibility and ease of mobility, but it is also consistent with the wider sustainability goals of this city of Adelaide. By advocating accessibility through Adelaide Metro, Adelaide encourages community connection and sustainability through one of Adelaide’s most highly anticipated events each year.
