The Public Joint-Stock Company “Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works” (KRCBW) has won the tender held by the Public Joint-Stock Company “Ukrzaliznytsia” (Ukrainian Railways) to supply 44 new passenger cars, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

It is noted that KRCBW will receive UAH 1.951 billion for manufacturing 44 passenger cars.

Therefore, KRCBW is now tasked with manufacturing for Ukrzaliznytsia 12 passenger sleeping cars (SV), 20 compartment cars, three passenger compartment cars equipped for the transportation of individuals in wheelchairs, a train conductor’s compartment, and nine open “platskart” cars, with delivery required by December 31, 2025.

The terms of the tender were adjusted, including an increase in the advance payment level.

It is noted that the advance payment is made in the amount of 65% within 14 days from the date of invoicing. Full payment is settled within 30 calendar days after the delivery of the goods, in the amount of 35% of the contract sum.

As reported earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia announced a tender for the acquisition of 44 passenger trains.
