Slovak company ŽOS Trnava and Austrian freight operator Rail Cargo Austria (RCG) have entered into a seven-year contract agreement for servicing the RCG freight wagon fleet, totaling around 50 million euros, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

This marks a continuation of the long-term partnership between the two companies.

For the year 2024, the repair of 144 wagons is scheduled, with the possibility of increasing the number of wagons as needed.

CAF resumes production of narrow-gauge trains

In total, ŽOS Trnava intends to repair between 800 to 1000 wagons of the operator in the coming years.

The company specializes not only in freight wagon repairs but also in passenger wagon servicing, as well as locomotive repairs and modernization.

Its services are also utilized by the national freight operator of Germany, DB Cargo.
