Minor delays affected regional services on Monday, but overall impact remained low. Long-distance and high-speed routes, such as TGV Inoui and Ouigo, largely operated without issues.

Strike Plans Offset by Flexible Booking Policy

To reduce inconvenience, SNCF has made all TGV Inoui and Ouigo tickets between May 5 and 11 eligible for free exchanges or refunds. This gesture aims to help travelers navigate any unexpected changes.

Alain Krakovitch, Director of TGV-Intercités, confirmed that passengers affected by cancellations will receive a 50% discount voucher for future trips. The discount applies even if alternative travel options are used.

Strike Preparations Ensure Service Continuity

Despite the strike, SNCF’s careful planning has prevented widespread disruptions. The company’s swift communication and customer-friendly policies helped maintain trust among holiday travelers.

As France heads into a long weekend, SNCF’s ability to ensure reliability despite the strike demonstrates strong operational control. Travellers are still encouraged to check schedules before departure.
