Because Frauscher has built a strong presence in Europe and India, the acquisition significantly boosts Wabtec’s access to fast-growing international rail markets. The company plans to integrate Frauscher’s solutions into its Digital Intelligence division to drive further innovation.

Wabtec President and CEO Rafael Santana emphasized that Frauscher brings a rare combination of high-margin growth and proven technological leadership. He stated, “This deal enhances our portfolio and allows us to deliver stronger outcomes for our customers through smarter, safer railway operations.”

The acquisition is expected to generate immediate value. Frauscher’s 2025 revenue is projected to reach approximately €145 million, exceeding Wabtec’s average growth trajectory. In addition, Wabtec anticipates synergies that will support accretive EBIT margins and adjusted EPS from the first year.

The acquisition also fits within Wabtec’s broader mission: to digitize rail systems, protect mission-critical infrastructure, and improve the efficiency of global transportation supply chains.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, with finalization expected later this year.
