The German rail technology firm will provide 300 switch systems and infrastructure components to support the country’s goal of expanding its network to 15,000 kilometers by 2035.

Vossloh to Supply Algeria’s Largest Rail Corridor

In addition to switch deliveries, Vossloh will supply fastening systems for a 950-kilometer railway linking the Ghar Djebilet iron ore mine with Tindouf and Béchar.

This key route will connect southern mining zones to northern urban areas and enhance both freight and passenger operations by late 2026.

Algeria’s government plans to transform national logistics by prioritizing large-scale rail development and attracting global expertise.
