The authorities of Uzbekistan intend to create a unified transport and logistics operator, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
A government commission, led by Vice Prime Minister Jamshid Khojaev, has instructed the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade to develop proposals for the creation of Uzbekistan’s unified transport and logistics operator within two months.
Uzbek authorities believe that this project will improve foreign trade logistics, reduce logistics costs by 30%, and contribute to the more effective implementation of new logistics corridors.
