Chinh stressed that transport infrastructure is critical to economic growth, and the new railway will help Vietnam access broader markets, expand supply chains, and strengthen international connectivity.

He noted that the line plays a vital role in achieving the goals of the 11th Party Central Committee and the National Assembly’s recent resolutions.

The Prime Minister urged nine provinces along the route to intensify preparations and launch the project this year, as scheduled.

He also emphasized the importance of aligning the railway’s development with national goals to diversify export routes and attract foreign investment.

Authorities plan to put 3,000 km of expressways into service this year while completing 1,000 km of coastal roads and advancing the Long Thanh International Airport.
