The new Vande Bharat Express reduces travel time to eight hours, covering 771 kilometers, making it the fastest train on this route.

The train was launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and began its commercial operation on September 18.

Instead of 16 and 8-coach trains, two 20-coach trains have been introduced on the New Delhi – Varanasi route, helping reduce waiting lists and providing more seats for passengers, especially for those booking tickets at the last minute.

The train is operated by the Northern Railway zone and makes only two stops: at Prayagraj Junction and Kanpur Central, optimizing travel time.

Passengers can choose between two seating classes: AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car. The fare is INR 1,795 for AC Chair Car and INR 3,320 for Executive Chair Car, offering various options for comfortable travel.

The new trains have replaced previous models, enhancing overall service quality and providing additional seating, which is especially important for routes with high passenger traffic.

This innovative train was designed to improve India’s transport infrastructure, offering convenient and fast travel between major cities.

The launch of the Vande Bharat Express symbolizes an important step in the development of Indian Railways, elevating the level of passenger transport to new heights.
