Six additional cars from the Warsaw Metro have arrived in the capital of Ukraine, bringing the total number of cars in the Kyiv Metro to 12 out of 60, according to the railway portal Railway Supply.

Six more cars from the Warsaw Metro

This is an important support from European colleagues, as the majority of the existing metro fleet was manufactured during Soviet times.

The received cars will be used as technical donors to replace equipment, components, and parts during the maintenance and repair of the existing metro car fleet.

Warsaw Metro is transferring a total of 60 series 81-717 cars to the Kyiv Metro, and the overall supply of all cars is planned to be completed by the end of the current year.

This information was provided by the head of the state enterprise Kyiv Metro, Viktor Braginsky, according to CTS.
