In December, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” will introduce two more conventions. From December 5, UZ will ban the transportation of sawn timber from the CIS and Baltic countries to Azerbaijan.

UZ will introduce two more conventions in December

The convention will be valid for all shippers until January 15, 2022. This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to UZ.

The second limitation will apply to the shipment of any goods from all countries for the consignee of Thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary Zrt (Hungary). According to the information on the website of this company, it is engaged in the sale of metal products. The ban will be in effect from December 18, 2021 to January 2, 2022.

As previously reported, UZ has introduced a convention for sending its rolling stock to the Baltic and CIS countries; from January 1, 2022, the restriction will also apply to Poland. In addition, since November 30, Ukrzaliznytsya has banned the transit of goods and wagons to Poland, and since December 6 – to Slovakia, Austria and the Czech Republic.

Among the reasons, UZ named the electrification of the Kovel-Izov-State Border sections and repair work on the tracks.
