ComfortJet Routes and Onboard Services
During the testing phase, passengers can enjoy a full-service restaurant car offering a menu similar to that of Railjet. The onboard services are provided by JLV, ensuring a consistently high standard.
The next route will be IC 512/515 between Ostrava and the spa town of Františkovy Lázně. Later, ComfortJet trains will be introduced on international routes to Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary.
The rolling stock is supplied by a consortium of Siemens Mobility and Škoda Group. Under the contract with ČD, the consortium will deliver 180 cars to form 20 ComfortJet trains.
Technical Features of ComfortJet
Each 237-meter train includes 99 first-class seats and 18 seats in the restaurant car. Siemens Vectron electric locomotives provide traction and reach speeds up to 230 km/h, ensuring smooth and reliable travel.
ComfortJet represents a new stage in modernizing Czech rail transport. These modern trains combine comfort, speed, and thoughtful service tailored to European passengers.
With the introduction of ComfortJet, ČD is strengthening its market position through innovation and expanded international connectivity. Additional routes will be introduced over the coming months.
