Cargo transportation has increased in Belarus since the beginning of the year
In January-February 2021, the Belarusian Railway transported 18.2 million tons of cargo, or 100.5% over the same period last year. At the same time, according to operational data, export traffic increased by 28.7% and amounted to 7.9 million tons. This was reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply , citing the press center of the Belarusian Railways.
Following the results of two months of this year, the volume of loading of chemical and mineral fertilizers, oil products, industrial raw materials, grain, construction and timber cargo, coal, etc. has increased.
Tariff freight turnover increased by 1.6% and amounted to 6.35 billion t-km.
The Belarusian Railway declares that “it is ready to fulfill all the requests of enterprises for the transportation of goods both within the republic and beyond its borders.”
