Transmashholding sent 4 five-car trains (20 cars) from its Mytishchi plant to the Baku Metro.

20 more metro cars appeared in Baku

New trains arrived for acceptance at the end of June. Before sending to Azerbaijan, representatives of the transport company and factory specialists thoroughly tested all train systems.

In 2019, TMH and the Baku Metro signed a contract for the supply of 60 metro cars of class 81-765.B / 766.B. According to the contract, TMH will supply the remaining batch of 12 five-car metro trains until 2023.

A number of management functions were transferred to Azerbaijan Railways CJSC

The bogies of 81-765.B / 766.B class are distinguished by a high level of sound and thermal insulation, as well as an HVAC system (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) with an integrated disinfectant that deactivates viruses and bacteria through UV radiation.

Other comfort features include LED lights that change color based on the time of day, USB chargers for passenger gadgets, and comfortable yet durable upholstery.

Train carriages have access zones and facilities for bicycles and prams. Open aisles form a single passageway for the train, allowing passengers to change cars without leaving the train. Large doorways speed up the flow of passengers in stations, and a new lighting system signals the opening and closing of doors.

Especially for the Baku Metro, trains received a unique exterior color scheme, headlights design and an on-board information system, translated and adapted for the region of movement. The service life of the trains is 30 years.
