Uzbekistan’s Railways to Establish Separate Enterprises

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a resolution to restructure Uzbekistan’s Railways, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.
By January 1, 2024, several new enterprises will be established within the national railway carrier:
– “Temiryulinfratuzilma” will oversee the railway infrastructure, electrification, signaling and communication, locomotive control, a unified dispatch center, and freight stations.
– “Temiryulkargo” will provide freight services, maintain the freight wagon and container fleet, establish multimodal transportation, organize logistics centers, and terminals.
– “Temiryulexpress” will be responsible for passenger transportation on high-speed trains.
– “Temir Yul Vokzallari” will manage railway stations.
